My Father and I booked a 10 day tour of Egypt with Upper Egypt Tours and I can honestly say, it was perfect. Everything went extremely smoothly, our guides and drivers were always on time and very knowledgeable. Nothing was too hard or too much trouble. We asked on many occasions to do some additional activities and it was all too easy. If you do you research and book the tour without having to change anything, just go with the flow and trust the company, everything goes smoothly. Don't forget that you are visiting the middle east, keep your expectations within reason and you'll be pleasantly surprised. Upper Egypt Tours was always contactable, quick to respond to messages or phone calls. Every person we dealt with gave us their contact details if we needed any assistance outside of the tour hours. True to their word, every time I contacted them with a question, they responded without hesitation. Our guides were: Eslam (Cairo) Kareem (Aswan) Ahmed (Luxor) Marwa (Alexandria) All of these guides went above and beyond with everything they did. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and a great sense of humour. All of our vehicles were like new, clean and comfortable. The cruise boat was brilliant, luxurious and clean. The staff were amazing and the food was just as good. If you are planning a trip to Egypt, look no further than Upper Egypt Tours, I honestly don't think you'll get better value anywhere else. The quality of service I received for the price I paid was astounding. I can't recommend this company enough.

Upper Egypt Tours

By far one of the best experiences we’ve had while traveling abroad! As we celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary, the bar was set high for any future companies we use for travel. Even prior to arrival, my husband was throughly informed by Mr. Mohammed regarding our itinerary, and what was to be expected upon arrival to Cairo. Every step was throughly executed by this company. The service was SUPERB! Hussein met us at the airport, and exceeded our expectations. He got us through customs, baggage claim, in the shuttle, and a snack for the road in record time. I really can go on and on about how refreshing it was to have that kind of service! We stayed at the Sheraton while in Cairo, and was offered the same welcoming attention. Mr. Ihab truly helped excel our experience. We also had the pleasure of having Dahlia and Ewais as our tour guides, and let me just say… they are very knowledgeable and professional! We felt extremely comfortable exploring with them. Even when I needed medicine while on the cruise, Ewais voluntarily offered to visit a pharmacy to assist. He went over and beyond! They all did! The staff on the cruise took care of me too by sending herbals teas, foods to help. Everything was just so great. Dahlia made our Cairo experience one we’ll never forget as well! We are definitely making plans to return to Egypt!

November 17th, 2022 DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR!!!! UPPER EGYPT TOURS IS A BRUTAL COMPANY TO DEAL WITH, THEY WILL SCAM YOU AND WILL RUIN YOUR TRIP!!! I have written and posted a very long email (with all conversations over emails, phone numbers and screen shots of all messages from Upper Egypt Tours) all over Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Trip Advisor, Tour Radar to share our experience with everyone involved with Upper Egypt Tours / Good Day Travel so no one will have to endure what we went through. In the end, DO NOT BOOK WITH UPPER EGYPT TOURS!!!!!

Not impressed with UPPER EGYPT TOURS We booked 5 day tour, Giza pyramids, museum, Aswan- Abu Simbel and Luxor. They messed up our flights even though I asked several times about the change in itinerary and getting to Abu simbel, and unsurprisingly we were unable to go- very disappointing. I had repeatedly asked about flights as we should have flown the previous day and we did not. We had to have a day in Aswan instead and pay for another tour and fight to get our refund of $150 for missing Abu Simbel- we eventually managed to do this, but had to pay $40 for the Aswan tour. We also could not stay in the nice hotel in Aswan, as had to get the train to Luxor. Luxor was good but crowded, Karnak and Luxor temples worth it. Aswan not really worth it without Abu Simbel- the reason we booked this tour! Tour guides Giza pyramids - Walid - knowledgeable guy. Elihad - aswan and luxor guide, friendly chap. Omar and Ahmed were drivers- we are still alive after the traffic, so they were great. Hotels BARCELO PYRAMID HOTEL- dirty, noisy and needs updating! ARACAN EATEBE LUXOR - location good, nile views. But dirty towels and carpets and doors did not close properly. No WiFi in rooms. Not the greatest trip, but some nice sites to see.

They never answer their phone and never showed up - we had reservations & paid in advance! Now we have to deal with credit card company to get our money back, very disappointed.

I have never dealt with a more incompetent tour company in my 40 years of travelling. Great guides (contractors) but the worst organisational skills of any company I have dealt with.

BEST Tour Operator

No words to describe the tour. Customer Service: 5 * Communication: 5* Value for Money: 5* YOU MUST DO THE DESERT CAMPING IF YOU PLAN EGYPT TOUR. (An unforgettable experience) I was travelling from UK with Family with kids (8 & 12) and booked a private tour, the time we put foot and to time we were dropped off back to international airport the Guides and Drivers were excellent. The hotel was nice in Giza very close to Pyramids. The tour felt like tailor made for us and kids and us both enjoyed it. Even the optional extras we opted for were so great value as compared to some other people on the trip how had paid higher price from different operator. All the site entrances were already included in the price already, it was a great relief. Upon request the tour also swapped train for flight as we had less days. We are vegetarians and did not have issues with food throughout the tour. I have asked all my friends if they plan Egypt tour then should use this operator.

We just got back from our trip to Egypt & everything went as planned. Upper Egypt Tours put everything together & very well organized. We had several guides and different drivers. The best guide I highly recommend in Aswan is Zach! He went above & beyond with his assistance! Also communication with Mohammed over Whatsapp was outstanding he would always check we were okay and if anything was needed. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

A few weeks ago, we went on a Nile dinner cruise with Upper Egypt Tours. We had booked 5, but one of us was ill and was unable to make it. I asked the tour agent to call the company to see if we could get reimbursed for that 1 passenger and they assured us that we would, that all we had to do was call Expedia for the refund. Expedia contacted them and they denied the request. That being said. DO NOT use this company. They are dishonest and do not keep their word.
